The long-awaited return of Step Dancing workshops with Frank McConnell
at the beautiful Pitcalzean House, Nigg, Easter Ross.
1st - 4th June 2017
The course is aimed at step-dancers and step-dancer/fiddlers at the upper-intermediate advanced level.
The workshop will focus on improvising and learning preferences for individual expression; one-to one surgeries; as well as picking up steps visually, musically and non-verbally. There will also be sessions for fiddlers to work with the brilliant Anna Massie to learn some new dance tunes.
A massage/relaxation session will end each afternoon. Workshops will take place each morning, afternoon and evening, with evenings having a more social element. If you live locally there is the option to attend workshops only.
Accommodation and workshops will take place at Pitcalzean House set in beautiful gardens and overlooking the Cromarty Firth. There is a separate barn, perfect for step dancing. Pitcalzean is approx. 45 minutes drive north of Inverness and your own transport will be required as there are very limited public transport options once you get to Inverness.
